LEDStorm

The concept behind LEDStorm’s unique light-emitting diode (LED) lighting systems is rooted in the entertainment industry. The company, founded in Cambridge, Mass., was established by Scott Gordon (CEO and founder/Inventor ), a graduate of Boston University with 20 years of lighting experience in the film and video industry, and Michael Short (co-founder/Inventor), a nuclear engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With the help of MIT’s media lab, “hobby shop” facilities and mentoring program, Gordon and Short combined forces to produce LEDStorm’s first entertainment industry lighting instrument in 2008. Soon after, the company developed a variety of lighting devices tailor-made for the film, television and music industries, to wide professional acclaim.
